If you read this post, then you know I want to start really editing what comes into my little wardrobe. I want things are only truly adore. I've been looking for a pretty green dress, for far too long, this one is perfect. I also don't have a necklace that I wear daily. I would love to have this handmade No. 146 Triangle Necklace. It's kind of perfect. I also like the idea of adding more color with a simple scarf! This one is kinda charming, what do you think?

a little project

I found this project 365 day project by Kristy Hall. I love this idea! I know I always love finding things or seeing signs(here and here). I even just like finding a smiley drawn with marker on a bench(makes you smile, yah know?). I think it would be fun to do something like this. Although, I'm still working on this 365 day project (I'm not doing so good on it). But, I already have an idea!

I didn't run away. Well, I guess I kind of did. I think it's time to stop that. So, hello!

Lately, I've been feeling a little tired. A little bit lost. A lot a bit disappointed. A little bit hurt. A little bit irresponsible. I need to work on that.

I did make a new little header! How about that! I had other ideas in my head (my ideas in my head are always so much better than what comes out). I need to work on that, too. But. I think I'm okay with it. For now.

Hello! I'm Angella! The gal behind Lavender and Honey. I'm happy you stopped by! Can you tell I'm excited to meet you? Well, I hope you can. I am living in the Midwest, on the lovely South Side in Chicago, Illinois. I am a smile-scatterer, a huge fan of cuddling, adores vintage, the thought of traveling, red lips, flowers (billy buttons), and making people laugh (smile-scatterer, I tell yah..).

I created this blog in 2008 in hopes of inspiring someone (you!) and meeting more people like me. Fast forward to 2011 and here we are! This year I hope to open my own little Etsy store. AND finish this list before I turn 23 in December. OH MAN. : )!

So, this blog is a little bit of me (okay, a lot a bit), a little bit of hoping, a little bit of dreaming, a little store? (maybe), a little bit.. of everything..

the heart wants..

I've been thinking a lot about fashion and “style” and realized I'm not someone who has it all figured out—at all. I know what I like but when it comes to styling.. I kind of just throw things together and on occasion I get lucky. In 2011 I would like to sharpen things up a bit and take things up a notch. While showering (where most of my silly ideas form) I thought why not create a little 'the heart wants what the heart wants' post and that being said..

I want to create mood boards weekly—on pieces I would love to have in my wardrobe. I want to stop the impulse buying and start buying things I really love. I want to stop the careless spending and start saving! And I can't really spend money like I did a few weeks ago anyway. So, I probably won't end up buying any of this.. but it's kinda fun to dream a little bit, don't you think? And I'm working on my photo shop skills—boom. I am working on my list a bunch : )

[This cardigan from Anthropologie is wonderful. It definitely has some character, with the ruffle flowing down the collar. I also wouldn't mind adding this necklace from This Charming Girl. It's darling.]

morning routine

breakfast- two eggs with onions and peppers (orange). spiced up really nice with black pepper and celery salt. some hummus and peppers on the side as well. hot water and lemon to sip on.

I hope your morning was a peaceful one.
